Our Data Protection Principles

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process your data with great care and in strict compliance with the applicable data protection laws as well as with any consent you may have given us. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect this website against the risks associated with the processing of personal data.

Based on the principles of the European General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter the “GDPR”), the following guidelines apply to us:

Lawfulness. We process personal data only where there is a legal basis for doing so. In the case of this website, this is in particular your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), processing in the context of pre-contractual or contractual communication (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and our legitimate interest in the secure and trouble-free operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We state the relevant legal basis in the description of each individual processing activity.

Fairness and transparency. In this Privacy Policy, we inform you openly about which personal data we collect and why.

Purpose limitation and data minimization. We collect and use only the personal data that we genuinely need for the respective purpose. Where we can achieve a purpose with less data, we limit ourselves to the necessary minimum.

Processing on our behalf. Where we engage third parties to process personal data (e.g. the hosting of this website), this is done on the basis of data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, which oblige these service providers to process the data lawfully and securely. Erasure. As soon as the purpose of a processing activity has been fulfilled, we erase your personal data, unless a statutory retention obligation or another recognized ground for retention prevents this.

Changes to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy reflects the current state of data processing on this website. If the processing changes, we will amend this policy accordingly and always make the current version available on this website.

Our Internet Points of Contact

The central point of contact through which you interact with us is this website itself.

Provision of the website. In order to display the website correctly in your internet browser, the content is delivered via the servers of our hosting provider (see the section “List of Third-Party Providers and Their Use”). The data generated in this process is used exclusively to display the content in your browser.

Storing this data is necessary for the secure and trouble-free provision of the website. We only analyze the log data where necessary, for example to remedy disruptions to the operation of the website or to investigate security incidents. Once the error has been remedied or a security incident has been fully investigated, this data is erased, unless it is exceptionally required for a longer period to preserve evidence.

Contact form. On this website, we offer you a contact form at /contactus through which you can send us a message. In doing so, we collect your name, your email address and your message. Providing your telephone number is optional.

The information submitted via the form is forwarded to us by email so that we can process your inquiry. We use this data solely for the purpose for which you provide it to us, that is, in particular to respond to your inquiry. We do not disclose this data for other purposes without your express consent.

Contact by telephone and in writing. You can also reach us directly by telephone or by email using the contact details stated in the section “Controller”. In this case too, we use the data you provide only to process your request.

Unless statutory retention obligations apply, we erase the personal data collected in connection with your contact as soon as your inquiry has been conclusively processed.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your inquiry is aimed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry).

Security Measures

We process your data in a manner that ensures an appropriate level of security for the personal data, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage. To this end, we use appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Encrypted transmission (TLS/SSL). To protect the data transmitted, this website uses state-of-the-art encryption (TLS/SSL). You can recognize an encrypted connection, among other things, by the prefix “https://” in the address bar of your browser. As long as the encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot readily be read by third parties.

Server log files. The server log files generated during the operation of the website are stored with our hosting provider and likewise serve the security and stability of the website (see the section “Our Internet Points of Contact”).

Where we engage third parties to process personal data, we agree with them on an appropriate level of technical and organizational protective measures.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR): You can request information as to whether and which personal data we process about you.
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR): You can request the correction of inaccurate data or the completion of incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR): You can request the erasure of your data, provided that it does not have to be retained further due to statutory retention obligations or other recognized grounds.

List of Third-Party Providers and Their Use

To provide this website, we use the following third-party providers:

Hosting provider. This website is operated at a hosting provider whose servers are located in Germany or within the European Union. The provider processes the data generated in connection with the operation of the website (in particular the server log files) exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. This is based on a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The legal basis for its use is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of this website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Web Fonts (Poppins). For a uniform presentation of fonts, this website uses the “Poppins” typeface, which is loaded as a so-called web font from servers of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you open a page, your browser loads the required font in order to display text correctly. In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google, whereby a transfer to a third country (USA) cannot be ruled out. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; in addition, standard contractual clauses exist as a safeguard for the data transfer pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR.
